About Me 

Hi, I’m Odalys Garcia — a marketing graduate from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s College of Business and currently pursuing my master’s degree in Marketing.

As someone who has lived in the Rio Grande Valley my entire life, I’ve always had a strong connection to the community and the people who make it special. Growing up here allowed me to see both the opportunities and challenges local businesses, organizations, and communities face, which inspired me to pursue marketing with the goal of creating a meaningful impact close to home.

For me, marketing is more than promotion — it’s storytelling, relationship building, and creating experiences that help ideas come to life. I’m passionate about using creativity and strategy to help businesses grow, connect with their audiences, and make a lasting impression.

I worked with the City of Edinburg as a Communications and Media Intern. In this job, I learned the importance of storytelling and having a meaningful purpose. 

IMAS Museum is a local museum in the RGV. A team and I worked in trying to improve this business social media presence, engament, and experience.

I support daily operations at Orlando’s Electrical Services (OES) by managing administrative, payroll, and client coordination tasks. My role includes processing payroll, handling contractor compliance documentation, coordinating insurance and project paperwork, and ensuring clear communication between clients, vendors, and internal teams. I also contribute to marketing and branding efforts by assisting with promotional materials and maintaining a consistent, professional company image.
